Pie Safe Gallery

In November 2025, I unveiled Pie Safe Gallery, my tiny traveling gallery housed inside a vintage pie safe cabinet. I cut and assembled each wood plank by hand and painted the front window with gallery glass to create a stained glass window effect. Under cabinet lights illuminate the inside to create a feeling of warmth and invitation. I needle felted mice to inhabit the space and create opportunities for interaction; kids especially love an element they can touch and play with.

To celebrate, I organized an opening reception with freshly baked pies, a salt dough pie making contest, a ribbon cutting ceremony, and music written by me. The evening invited guests into a low stakes space for creative play and shared delight. My aim was to create an experience that was fun and hopeful, reminding myself and others that change is possible, and that beginning exactly where you are is more than enough.

Currently Pie Safe Gallery resides at Hostel in the Forest in Brunswick Georgia, where it brings delight and inspiration to travelers passing through.
